Holiday Cottages on the Yorkshire Coast

Holiday cottages are one of the most popular options for families and groups, and on the Yorkshire Coast it's worth remembering that cottages located on the North York Moors are genrally within east striking range of the coast. And there's plenty of lovely cottages in the Wolds too, so again thinking outside the box can play dividends.

Cottages near Bridlington, Hornsea and Skipsea

Brid as it's generally known can be a pretty good choice for a holiday. It's flat, so is a great choice if your legs aren't what they were or you're encumbered with pushchairs and prams. But it's on the edge of far more interesting scenery, so offers variety.

Cottages at The Bay, Filey

The Bay is a new development of holiday homes, set on the site of the old Butlins Camp just outside Filey. It has its own access to Filey beach, and is a great location for exploring the Yorkshire Coast.

Cottages Near Scarborough

Scarborough is by far the most interesting resort on the coast. A real mixture of historic spleandour and seaside tat. And it's slap-bavg in the middle of the coast so makes a great base for exploring the area.

Cottages Near Whitby

Whitby has it all for a holiday. Dracula, Captain Cook, The Abbey, the wonderful old town, an unbelievable location on the edge of the North York Moors and the North York Moors Railway. And the place is packed with amazing historic cottages.

English Country Cottages

English Country Cottages have one of the best ranges of Yorkshire coast holiday cottages. They also have one of the best selections of cottages on the North York Moors. Unfortunately the website is less than easy to navigate, but it's well worth persevering as they do have a great selection.
